What is respite care?

Respite care is also available following an operation or illness. Respite care in the home is designed to make sure carers can have a break without the care receiver missing out on accessing their care.

Being a care is often physically and mentally straining. What does a respite carer do?

Shopping and preparing meals

How much does respite care cost?

We can offer respite care at short notice if required. The amount you pay depends on the complexity of needs and the services required but our prices are transparent and there are no hidden costs. Depending on your personal circumstances, you may be entitled to financial support to arrange respite care. If you think you may be entitled, contact your county council immediately so you are prepared if and when you require respite care.
