A diagnosis of terminal illness is devastating for the whole family. That’s why the palliative care offered by 24/7 Passionate Care is designed to support the whole family to help you make the most of the time you have together.

Many people receiving palliative care are keen to remain in their home surrounded by the people and memories that they cherish. Our carers will support you to remain as comfortable as possible while making sure you and your family have time and space. All our palliative care providers are experienced and compassionate, and cover all aspects of personal care such as pain management for neurological and physical symptoms, administering medication and preparing meals.

We can provide a full-time live-in carer or regular visits according to your needs and desires.

Whether a full-time live-in carer or regular care visits is your preferred option, we provide a comprehensive range of services for people in the last days of their life.  Our palliative care services are carried out in compliance with nationally approved palliative care guidelines and include:

We have branches across the country and work closely with other organisations such as hospices, NHS care team, district nurses and support groups. Palliative care can be arranged quickly when necessary and is always tailored to the needs of the care receiver and their family.

Palliative, or end-of-life care, is specialist medical care given to people who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. The focus of the care provided is on relieving pain , managing symptoms and maintaining comfort. Palliative care aims to improve the quality of life for the patient and their family and friends whilst limiting the emotional effects.

Palliative care at home

Palliative care often takes place at a hospice or in hospital but it can also be given at home. Many people want to remain where they feel most comfortable and in-home palliative care is not unusual.

The options for palliative care at home

All our palliative care services are regulated by the Care Quality Commission.

When you choose 24/7 Passionate Care for your palliative care services, you’ll be allocated a local care-manager who will oversee your support. If your needs or requirements change, you just need to let your local care-manager know and they will arrange to have your care package amended.

The options for palliative care include:

Live-in care

A specially trained carer comes to stay with you to provide round-the-clock support. Your carer will support you with daily tasks and also offer companionship.

Regular home visits

Your 24/7 Passionate Care support staff can visit whenever is most convenient for you – day or night. Visits can range from a half an hour once a week to daily visits – several times if necessary.

Respite care

If your usual carer needs a well-earned break, we can offer respite live-in care. Respite care services are available for a minimum of three days and can be arranged quickly in an emergency.

How quickly can palliative carers be arranged?

Circumstances can change quickly and our palliative care services can be arranged urgently when required.

We offer emergency palliative care at home and can usually arrange for it to start within 24 hours of your first contact. If you are in hospital or a residential care setting, we will work with your care manager to arrange your move back home.

Our offices are open seven days a week to take your call to arrange palliative care.
